City of Countryside issued the following announcement on June 18.

The Best of Countryside is the city’s once-a-year summer carnival. Join us at this family-friendly event as we enjoy amusement rides, games, music, food, and more.

Location & Hours

July 12th – 15th, 2018 @ City Park, Countryside

Handicap parking is available in handicap-designated spots on the north end of the park and throughout the Countryside Plaza parking lot.

General Hours

Thurs — 5-10 pm

Friday — 4-11 pm

Saturday — 12 pm-11 pm

Sunday — 12-8 pm

Ride/Carnival Hours

Thursday — 5-10 pm (Day Pass 5-9 pm)

Friday — 4-10 pm

Saturday — 1-10 pm (Day Pass 1-5 pm)

Sunday — 1-8 pm (Day Pass 1-5 pm)

Food Vendors

Delicious food will be available for purchase from your favorite local restaurants — check back for restaurant listing.

Amusement Rides

General admission to the carnival is free. However, if you plan to ride the amusement attractions, you will need to purchase tickets or a pass. Individual tickets and sheets of tickets will be available for purchase at the ticket booth all days. Ticket sales end 15 minutes before rides close.

Mega Pass: $75 (Best Value!) Unlimited rides all weekend during carnival operating hours. Mega Pass pre-sale will end July 8. Pre-sale is $60. Pay with credit/debit or PayPal below.

After purchasing, bring your proof of purchase to Countryside City Hall, 5550 East Ave, Countryside, during business hours, prior to July 8, to pick up your blue Mega Pass voucher. You need to bring this voucher with you to the carnival in order to receive your wristband. Wristbands are valid during carnival operating hours*. If you don’t have your Mega Pass, you cannot receive a wristband. No photocopies will be accepted.

Day Pass: $25 4 hours of unlimited rides! Day Passes are valid ONLY during the following time frames:

Thursday, 7/12 5pm-9pm

Saturday-Sunday, 7/14-7/15 1pm-5pm

*Note: Windy City Amusements, Inc. sets the carnival hours. The Countryside Chamber of Commerce is not responsible for shortened hours determined by Windy City Amusements, Inc.

Knockerball!! Come try out the new craze in safe contact sports! – $5

Saturday 3-8 pm and Sunday 2-7 pm in center field.
