Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

1) Call to Order – President Gattuso Called the Meeting to Order at 7:00p.m.

Present: President Paul Gattuso, Trustees Carl Celestino, Angelo Calcagno, Sherby Miller, Frank Perry, Nick Steker, Tom Yurkovich

Also Present: Deputy Clerk Greg Hribal, Village Manager Dave Plyen Attorney Mike Durkin, Police Chief Steven Stelter, Fire Chief Jim Adams, Public Works

Director Robert Lewis, Community Development Director Melissa Headley

4A. Annual Budget for the Fiscal Year Beginning May 1, 2018 and Ending April 30, 2019

Cathy Kuratko speaks out regarding the projected numbers of the budget.

Jean Klotter asked about accounting information regarding our fund balances.

Gary Busa had question about flooding.

An Ordinance Approving and Adopting the Annual Budget for the Fiscal Year Beginning May 1, 2018 and Ending April 30, 2019 in the Village of Westchester.

Frank Perry requested follow up from and email he sent Manager David Plyman regarding the grant expenditures and revenues for police officers.

Trustee Steker requested quarterly budget workshops.

Trustee Calcagno requested August discussion.

President Gattuso requested a budget committee be created to work with David and new finance director.

Moved by Thomas Yurkovich – Seconded by Frank Perry An Ordinance Approving and Adopting the Annual Budget for the Fiscal Year Beginning May 1, 2018 and Ending April 30, 2019 in the Village of Westchester.

10) Attorney’s Report

Attorney Durkin is requesting an executive session to discuss contract with the police sergeants.

11) Board Member Reports and New Business

Trustee Celestino spoke advising that the Westchester food pantry was given a resolution from Cook County for their work.

Trustee Calcagno spoke about the Proviso High School District Meeting regarding the facilities discussion at the district offices.

Robert Lewis advised Wednesday May 2nd will be a test of the Mayfair water detention station work.

12) President’s Report

President Gattuso advised that Waste Management came to the village to discuss Earth Day and provide information on all of their available services.

13) Executive Session

Executive session requested at the conclusion of the COW meeting for 5/ILCS 120/2C1 and 2C2.
