Report: Schiller Park spent $11,905 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Schiller Park School District 81 is down 5 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $12,544 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,905 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1355 to 1453.

Schiller Park's spending in 2016-17 was 8 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
