Report: Komarek spent $12,093 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Komarek School District 94 is up 21 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,013 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,093 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 512 to 546.

Komarek's spending in 2016-17 was 7 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
