Report: La Grange spent $12,645 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at La Grange School District 102 is up 15 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,992 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,645 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 3143 to 3161.

La Grange's spending in 2016-17 was 3 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
