Report: Oak Park-River Forest spent $22,283 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Oak Park-River Forest School District 200 is up 17 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $18,993 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $22,283 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 3285 to 3301.

Oak Park-River Forest's spending in 2016-17 was 72 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
