Analysis: Forest Park pays $2.69 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Forest Park Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73.1 percent of the $1,177,721 the Forest Park Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.69 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Forest Park contributed $860,422 to the fund, which saw a $195,176 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $319,101, or 27.1 percent, in 2016.
