Village of Franklin Park Police and Fire Commission met October 2.

Call to Order: The meeting for the Fire & Police Commission was called to order by Commissioner Gil Hagerstrom at 6:05
Roll Call/ Quorum : Present: Commissioner Gil Hagerstrom, Commissioner Irene Herrera and Secretary Margarita Whaley. Absent is Commissioner Maritza Souchet. Also present: Director Mike Witz and Fire Chief Bill Brehm.
Approval of minutes: A motion to approve the September 5, 2017 meeting minutes was made by Commissioner Hagerstrom and seconded by Commissioner Herrera with all in favor.
Communications:
•Director Witz: The Police Department is requesting a sergeant to be promoted due to the retirement of Sgt. Joe Vallejo who is currently #1 on the Sergeant promotional list.
Unfinished Business : None
New Business : Commissioner Hagerstrom made a motion to promote Officer Vito Busse to Sergeant. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Herrera with all in favor.
