Zoning Board of Appeals met August 2.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

1. The regularly scheduled meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

2. A quorum was present. Gil Snyder, Chairman Mark Cwik, Frank Grieashamer, Kathy Mennella, Jenny Corral, George Snarski, Bruce Boreson, Lisa Manzo (Secretary), and Zoe Heidorn (Village Planner). All Members were present.

3. Member Grieashamer made a motion to accept the minutes of July 5, 2017. The motion was seconded by Member Mennella and approved to place them on file as presented.

4. New Business: None.

5. Old Business: ZBA 17-13; Text Amendment to Sections 9-9-5 and 9-9-6 regarding the regulations of billboard signs.

Ms. Heidorn discussed with the members that staff requests a continuation of this hearing until the next regularly scheduled hearing date of Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 7 p.m.

Member Grieashamer made a motion to continue hearing ZBA 17-13 regarding the regulation of billboard signs to the next regularly scheduled hearing date of Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 7 p.m. Member Mennella seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote. Member Corral-Yes; Member Mennella-Yes; Member Snarski-Yes; Member Boreson-Yes; Member Snyder-Yes; Chairman Cwik-Yes; Member Grieashamer-Yes. Seven (7) Ayes, Zero (0) Nays, Zero (0) Absent, Zero (0) Abstain. The motion was carried.

6. Public Comment: None.

Ms. Heidorn updated the members that she has unfortunately given her two (2) week notice. She is joining a Planning firm in the City of Chicago. She stated that she will miss everyone at the Village and it had been a pleasure working with everyone.

The members wished her well in her future career path and stated that she will be missed dearly.

7. A motion was made by Member Grieashamer to adjourn the meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals. It was seconded by Member Mennella. All in favor. Motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
