3. Liquor Code Amendments

Director Scott presented a request from Rob Salerno of Salerno's Rbar and Hillgrove Tap to consider allowing various types of games or music devices that are currently prohibited by the Liquor Control Code. Both restaurant owners were seeking to add minor forms of entertaimnent for adults. Hillgrove dropped their request since it would require too much floor space but Salerno's request includes a wall mounted Jukebox (aka touch tunes) as well as a Golden Tee video game. A draft ordinance covering the amusement devices was provided by Attorney Jurusik for the committee's review. The committee discussed the request and came to a consensus to move the request forward to the Liquor Commission for their consideration. If the Commission approves of this request, the matter would come before the Board in August for discussion.

4. Western Springs Police Department Raffle License Request for National Night Out (Special Olympics) August 1, 2017

Deputy Clerk Haeske presented a request from Officer Terry Madler of the Western Springs Police Department for a raffle license in conjunction with their August 1, 2017 National Night Out event. Due to State law, approval of the issuance of the license must be granted by the Village Board of Trustees.
