City of Northlake Council met July 10.

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. Mayor Sherwin asked everyone to stand for the pledge of allegiance. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the regular meeting held on June 12, 2017. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held June 12, 2017; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.

Motion To Pay The Warrants And Vouchers Carried
Christopher B. Burke Engineering LTD made a presentation on the Addison Creek Wetland Restoration. He gave an update to the progress on the project. A resident spoke about the project and the safety of children in the area.
Alderman Patti made a motion to extend the current contract with Allied Waste Services of North American, LLC by three years to December 31, 2020.

Alderman Patti made a Motion to refer to the City of Northlake Zoning Board of Appeals and Plan Commission. In order to make an amendment to the existing zoning (B-2) Retail and Service District to (R-2) Two Family Residence District. The applicant Mike Coakley and owner 5 N. Prater would like to make the first level of the building into a residential space; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
