Village of North Riverside Board of Trustees met April 3.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

Mayor Hermanek called the meeting to order with a Pledge of Allegiance and a Roll Call. In

attendance were Trustee Bianco, Trustee Czajka, Trustee Decosola, Trustee Demopoulos,

Trustee Mengoni and Trustee Wilt.

Others in attendance were Attorney Hayes, Finance Director Scarpiniti, Police Chief Niemann,

Public Works Director Kutt, Village Engineer Fitzgerald and Fire Chief Basek.

Approval of Agenda

Trustee Demopoulos moved seconded by Trustee Mengoni to approve the agenda for this

meeting. Roll Call Vote:

Ayes: Trustees Bianco, Czajka, Decosola, Demopoulos, Mengoni, Wilt

Nays: None. Motion carried

Appoval of Minutes

Trustee Mengoni moved, seconded by Trustee Bianco to approve the March 20, 2017 Village

Board Meeting Minutes as presented. Roll Call Vote:

Ayes: Trustees Bianco, Czajka, Demopoulos, Mengoni, Wilt

Nays: None. Motion carried

Trustee Mengoni submitted the Fire and EMS calls for the month of March, 2017 as follows:

 Blood pressure screenings were provided for the seniors at the North Riverside Village

Commons the first Wednesday of the month from 9-11am. Screenings were also

provided Monday-Friday 1-5pm at the fire station.

Trustee Wilt ( Finance, Health & Appropriations)-No report

Mayoral Report

Mayor Hermanek gave the following Community Development Department updates:

 Presales- The Community Development Department performed seven (7) single-family

presale inspections totaling $2,835.00 in revenue.

 Permit totals- The department issued 24 residential and commercial permits totaling

$19,724.30 in revenue.

In honor of National Library Week, Mayor Hermanek read a proclamation and presented a

plaque to members of the Library Board.

Correspondence - No correspondence for this meeting.

Approval of Bills

Trustee Wilt moved, seconded by Trustee Demopoulos to approve the list of bills submitted for

this meeting totaling $402,565.99 and to have them paid out of proper funds when such funds

become available. Roll Call Vote:

Ayes: Trustees Bianco, Czajka, Decosola, Demopoulos, Mengoni, Wilt

Nays: None. Motion carried

Trustee Bianco reminded residents about the Scouts Pancake Breakfast Sunday April 9th.

Trustee Czajka recommended residents attend the North Riverside Players production of Kiss

Me Kate.

 Barbara Wilson reminded residents to vote on Tuesday and wished all the candidates

good luck.

Adjournment

Trustee Mengoni moved, seconded by Trustee Bianco for adjournment at 7:10 pm. Motion

carried unanimously.
