City of Northlake City Council met April 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Sherwin asked everyone to stand for the pledge of allegiance. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call:

Present: Alderman Straube, Feldmann,

Contreras, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski

And Patti

Absent: Alderman Padilla

Fred Paul, Treasurer

Others Present: Carol Lampard, Finance Director

Nancy Pauletto, City Clerk

Mark Sterk, Attorney

Jay Militello, Deputy Chief Of Police

Dale Roberts, Public Works Director

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the regular meeting held on April 3, 2017. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held April 3, 2017; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.

Motion To Accept The Minutes Of The April 3, 2017 City Council Meeting Carried

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the re-appointment of Christine Maggio to the Senior Commission; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call: Alderman Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Padilla

Nays: None

Motion To Approve The Re-Appointment Of Christine Maggio To The Senior Commission Carried

Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the warrants and vouchers if and when the funds become available; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call: Alderman Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Padilla

Nays: None

Motion To Pay The Warrants And Vouchers Carried

Mayor Sherwin reminded everyone that the next meeting is May 1, 2017 and all candidates who were re-elected will be sworn in by a judge.

Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve Resolution R-06-2017; A Resolution Authorizing the Sale of Property Commonly Known as 2100 North Mannheim Road in the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call: Alderman Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Padilla

Nays: None

Motion To Approve Resolution R-06-2017; A Resolution Authorizing The Sale Of Property Commonly Known As 2100 North Mannheim Road In The City Of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois Carried

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve a proposal for cement restoration at various locations throughout the town from Sierra Construction in the amount of $11,000.00; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call: Alderman Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Padilla

Motion To Approve A Proposal For Cement Restoration At Various Locations Throughout The Town From Sierra Construction In The Amount Of $11,000.00 Carried

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the engineers recommendation of Schroeder Asphalt Services in the amount of $372,949.05; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call: Alderman Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Padilla

Nays: None

Motion To Approve The Engineers Recommendation Of Schroeder Asphalt Services In The Amount Of $372,949.05 Carried

Alderman Gonzalez made a motion regarding the relocation of old playground equipment from Millennium Park to Hansen Park; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call: Alderman Straube, Feldmann, Contreras, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Padilla

Nays: None

Motion Regarding The Relocation Of Old Playground Equipment From Millennium Park To Hansen Park Carried

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
