Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle’s office recently released the first digital version of the county's annual report.
The report, Cook County at a Glance 2016, is an interactive write-up highlighting projects and achievements that happened within the county last year.
The report, which is also available in print, hones in on four key areas that showed great progress last year: public health, public safety, economic development and the Forest Preserves.
“This report supports some of the guiding principles I have been advocating in my administration since taking office, especially innovative leadership and improving transparency and accountability,” Preckwinkle said in an announcement. “Increasingly, our residents are turning to digital resources for their information. This report allows for that opportunity. We also have produced a limited number of print reports.”
The digital version also includes videos of Preckwinkle discussing these key areas. A fast-facts graphics section offers key information at a glance, and it also features a "Did You Know?" section.
