Nazareth Academy grad named to 247Sports True Freshman All-American Team

Julian Love, a Nazareth Academy alumnus and current defensive back with Notre Dame, has been named to the 2016 247Sports True Freshman All-American Team, according to 247sports.com.

Love appeared in all 12 of the Fighting Irish's games this season, making eight starts, according to www.und.com. He was tied for eighth on the team, with 45 total tackles to go with two tackles for losses, an interception, a fumble recovery and four passes defended.

In Notre Dame's final game of the season against Southern California on Nov. 26 in Los Angeles, Love had a team-high nine total tackles, including seven solo tackles, and forced a fumble.

Love was a highly honored player at Nazareth Academy, from where he graduated in 2016. He earned 2015 MaxPreps First Team Medium Schools All-American honors, as well as 2015 Class 5A All-State First Team recognition from the Illinois High School Coaches Association.
