Forest Park Diversity Commission to work on upcoming survey

The Forest Park Diversity Commission will meet at 7 p.m. today in the Lower Level of Village Hall, 517 Desplaines Ave. to work on a planned diversity survey.

Established in 2016, the Diversity Commission is a resource for experience and information on diversity issues and serves in an advisory capacity to the mayor and Village Council. It aims to help enrich the social and intellectual life of all residents through educational and social programs. It also aims to facilitate awareness and promote the understanding and acceptance of all people, especially those who have different racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds; sexual preferences; physical limitations; gender; and educational and economic backgrounds.
