Elmwood Park trustees green-light upcoming Tiger Tear 5K race

At a recent meeting, the Elmwood Park Village Board approved a plan to hold the Tiger Tear 5K Sept. 25 on various streets throughout the village.

Below are the minutes from this meeting, as provided by the board.

THE 2,198 REGULAR MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF

TRUSTEES WILLAGE OF ELMWOOD PARK

August 1, 2016 7:00pm

The 2, 198" meeting of the President and Board of Trustees was called to order by President Angelo "Skip' Saviano at 7:00pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

On roll call the following members were present: Anthony DelSanto, Jonathan Zivojnovic, Angela Stranges, Angelo Lollino, Alan Kaminski, Jeff Sargent and President Saviano.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Trustee DelSanto reminded the board and audience about the 2" Annual “National Night Out” to be held August 2" at the aquatic center and urged all to attend. He stated that the Mr. George Dana has donated Italian sausage for the event. Trustee Kaminski reported that the finance committee met this evening at 6:30pm to review the bills and vouchers for the month of July and voted unanimously to approve. Trustee Lollino reported on the Taste of Elmwood Park restaurant lineup for this years festival. He urged all to attend.

MANAGERS REPORT

Mr. Volpe reported on the 2016 Tax year, an Ordinance to approve a parking agreement with Elmwood Park Bible Church, a proposal from Black Dog Corporation for petroleum products, playground equipment at John Mills Park, demolition of 1615 75" Ave and a resolution with Paymentus Corporation for online payment of water bills. A full copy of his report is attached hereto,

A motion was made by Trustee Zivojnovic and seconded by Trustee Lollino to approve the following items on the consent agenda:

a) Approval of the minutes of the meeting of the President and Board of Trustees held on July 18, 2016.

b) Receive and File Minutes of the Appropriation Public Hearing held July 18, 2016.

c) Receive and File Minutes of the Finance meeting June 6, 2016.

d) Bills and Vouchers for the month of July 2016 in the amount of $2,744,226,48.

i) An Ordinance Approving and Authorizing the Execution of a Parking and Event License Agreement for the Use of the Elmwood Park Bible Church Parking Lot, Generally Located at 2334 North 75" Avenue, Elmwood Park, Illinois.

On roll call, the following voted “Aye”: Anthony DelSanto, Angela Stranges, Jonathan Zivojnovic, Angelo Lollino, Alan Kaminski, Jeff Sargent, and President Saviano. “Nay’: None. Motion Carried.

COMMUNICATIONS

A motion was made by Trustee Zivojnovic and seconded by Trustee Stranges to approve a request made by Mrs. Pat McNulty, President Elmwood Park High School Booster Club, to hold the annual Tiger Tear 5K on September 25, 2016 through various streets in the Village. She thanked the village for their support and sponsorship of this great event. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Trustee Kaminski and seconded by Trustee Sargent to approve a raffle application submitted by Ms. Vicki Misuraca, Chairman of “Pageant Girls For A Cure-American Heart Association', to hold a raffle at their fashion show fundraiser on August 12, 2016 at Elmcrest Banquets. Motion carried.

ADJOURNMENT

With no other business to be brought before the board, a motion was made by Trustee DelSanto and seconded by Trustee Zivojnovic to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:10 pm.
