Broadview Public Library District Board approves revised travel policy

At a recent special meeting, the Broadview Public Library District Board approved a revised travel policy in accordance with a recently enacted new state law.

Broadview Public Library is a library district with an elected board. A district library is a corporate authority with some of the same authorities as a village, park and school district. The board consists of seven nonpaid members elected to six-year terms.

BROADVIEW PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES THURSDAY, JUNE 9", 2016, 6:30 PM

A Special Board Meeting of the Broadview Public Library District Board of Trustees was held on Thursday, June 9", 2016. President Katrina Arnold presided over the meeting, also present was Vice President Robert Jones, Treasurer Eric Cummings, Secretary Marquetta Smith and Trustee Katrina Thompson. Trustees Judy Hargrett and David Upshaw were absent. A quorum was present; the meeting was called to

order at 6:30 pm. Note: Trustee Upshaw arrived at 6:33pm

President Katrina Arnold motioned to approve the revised Travel Policy as approved by the Attorney. Trustee Katrina Thompson addressed to have distinction between Trustees and Staff as referred to in the policy. President Katrina Arnold rescinded her original motion and re-motioned to approve the Travel Policy with the corrections made at the board meeting. The motion was approved as read: Four Ayes, Two Nays, One Absent.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:04pm.
