Western Springs recently announced that a bond-issue measure to fund road infrastructure improvements will be on the November ballot.
VILLAGE OF WESTERN SPRINGS
NOTICE OF REFERENDUM
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, at the general election to be held on
Tuesday, the 8th day of November, 2016, the following proposition will be submitted to the voters of the Village of Western Springs, Cook County, lllinois:
"Shall the Village of Western Springs, Cook County, lllinois, for the purpose of making road and street improvements within the corporate boundaries and under the jurisdiction of the Village of Western Springs, issue bonds in the amount of $12,000,000 for the purpose of paying the costs thereof and the expenses incidental thereto?"
The maximum rate of interest on the bonds to be issued pursuant to said proposition is 5% per annum.
The polls at the election will be open at 6:00 o'clock A.M. and will continue to be open until 7:00 o'clock P.M. on that day.
