Forest Park Diversity Commission to discuss what its diversity focus should be

The Forest Park Diversity Commission will discuss what the commission's diversity focus should be at its next meeting 7 p.m. July 28, in the Lower Level of Village Hall, 517 Desplaines Ave.

Established in 2016, the Diversity Commission aims to be a resource for experience and information on diversity issues and serve in an advisory capacity to the mayor and Village Council. It will help enrich the social and intellectual life of all residents through educational and social programs. It shall facilitate awareness and promote the understanding and acceptance of all people, especially those who have different racial, religious and/or ethnic backgrounds, sexual preferences, physical limitations, gender, educational and economic levels.
