Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) records show that 92.0 percent of Proviso Math and Science Academy's (PMSA) 2015 graduating class enrolled in college within 12 months of graduation.
The 2015 state average for students in public schools was 70 percent.
For PMSA, its college enrollment rate marks an improvement over 2014, when 89.0 percent of its graduates chose post-secondary education.
The data, collected by the National Student Clearinghouse, includes two- and four-year colleges.
Enrollment at PMSA in 2015 was 751; 199 (26.5 percent) were seniors.
ISBE also said 74.6 percent of PMSA seniors were "college ready" in 2015, vs. an average of 46 percent statewide.
All students who score a 21 or better on the ACT qualify as "college ready."
PMSA students did better on math (55.1 percent) and English (89.3 percent) and worse on reading (50.7) and science (52.2).
Only 27.8 percent of PMSA students were college ready in all four subjects, ISBE said.
