The Maywood Village Board is holding public workshops this week to address fiscal and workers' compensation issues.
A budget workshop will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Maywood Police Department, 125 S. Fifth Ave., during which the board will present and discuss the proposed 2016-17 village budget.
A workshop to discuss workers' compensation issues will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Maywood Police Department, 125 S. Fifth Ave.
Both workshop meetings will include public-comment periods.
The board includes Toni Dorris, Henderson Yarbrough Sr., Melvin Lightford, Ronald Rivers, Michael Rogers, and Isaiah Brandon.
Village Manager Willie Norfleet Jr., Village Clerk Viola Mims and Mayor Edwenna Perkins are expected to participate in both workshops.
