Forest Park Fire & Police Commission to consider new hires at special meeting

The Forest Park Fire and Police Commission will discuss several potential entry-level recruits and those taking advancement exams during a special meeting at 2:30 p.m. today at Village Hall.

The commission will discuss the psychology and polygraph tests for several entry-level candidates for the police and fire departments. It also will review candidate interviews for entry-level police officers.

Also on the agenda are discussions on the exams for police sergeants and fire department captains.

The meeting will be held in the lower level of Village Hall, 517 Desplaines Ave.

Appointed by the mayor and approved by the village council, the Forest Park Fire and Police Commission is responsible for the hiring, promoting and firing of personnel for the fire and police departments. The current members of the commission are Steve Hinton, Brad Zandstra, Chairwoman Amy Rita and Secretary Dora Murphy.
