The Western Springs Board of Trustees approved several major service contracts for 2016 at a Feb. 22 meeting.
The board planned to vote on a $150,000 contract with Sinnott Tree Service Inc. for tree and stump removal, a $120,000 contract with Chicago Trenchless Rehabilitation for sewer televising, a $55,000 contract with Winkler's Tree Service for tree trimming, a $50,000 contract with Schroeder & Schroeder Inc. for sidewalk replacement, a $20,000 contract with Safestep for sidewalk cutting and a $76,383 contract with Brickman Landscaping.
The board also was expected to vote on more than $118,000 in truck purchases.
The Western Springs Board of Trustees includes Suzanne Glowiak, James Horvath, Sheila Hansen, Edward Tymick, Alice Gallagher and Berry Allen.
