February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month.
Statistics show that teens are consistently more at risk for violence in relationships. This leads to potential depression and substance abuse, affecting health and quality of life in the future. The Centers for Disease Control's Division of Violence Prevention suggests parents talk to teens about healthy, normal relationships; ask teens if they have been pressured into physical or sexual relationships; and teach teens about respecting each other.

Security flaws are an issue being addressed by several major technology corporations. Cisco has released patches for a number of flaws, and a Microsoft security researcher has discovered a way to listen in to secure communications in some versions of Socat. This is being addressed by the manufacturer. Other software updates are coming from Microsoft EMET, now compatible with Windows 10, and Google Chrome, which is extending its Safe Browsing technology.

Honda or Acuras from model years 2005-2016 are being recalled for air bag repairs. The original recall in Canada has been expanded to include 2.23 million models sold in the United States, as well as over 340,000 Accords (models from 2008-2010). These air bags can be dangerous, either rupturing or failing to deploy.
