Stars Defeat #6 Carthage

 The Dominican University men’s volleyball team hosted #6 Carthage College on Thursday night.

Results:
Carthage: 1
Dominican: 3

How it Happened:
-Dominican fell in the first set 25-22 and committed 7 errors.
-The Stars tightened things up in the second set and won 27-25 despite only having 10 kills in the set.
-DU won the third set in dominant fashion. They had just 3 errors and won 25-19.
-Dominican continued their strong performance in the fourth set. DU had a game-high 18 kills and finally won the set 33-31 to win the match.
-Dominican had 9 aces as a team. 

Shining Stars:
-Freshman Casey Goss had a career-high 14 kills and 3 aces.
-Sophomore Jason Kougan had a career-high 6 kills and 4 digs.
-Sophomore Owen Morrow was everywhere with 43 assists.

Assists: Morrow (43)
Digs: Morrow (7)

What’s Next:
The Dominican University men’s volleyball team will travel to Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday at 12:00 PM.
