Based on data from the 23 homes sold during this period, Riverside’s median sales price reached $473,000. The city’s median annual property tax bill for 2025 stood at $13,659, equaling 2.9% of the median home value that was taxed.
The U.S. average effective property tax rate was 0.888% in 2024.
Within Cook County, Ford Heights, Phoenix and Park Forest recorded the highest rates among all cities.
