Proviso Township Board met March 3

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1) CALL TO ORDER

The Board of Town Trustees of the Town of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162 on Monday, March 3, 2025.

2) ROLL CALL

Trustee Christopher called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. on a roll call the following responded: Trustees Christopher, Chavez and Chase.

Also present were Clerk Williams, Assessor Zawaski, and Attorney Durkin Jr. Youth Services Director Lorenzo Webber was present.

3) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Trustee Christopher led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

4) APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher, that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on February 19, 2025.

Discussion: None

Ayes: Trustees Christopher, Chavez and Chase.

Nays: None

Absent: Supervisor Corrigan

Motion carried

5) APPROVAL OF BILLS

Trustee Chase moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez, that the Board of Trustees approve payment of the bills submitted for February 16, 2025 – February 28, 2025

Nays: None

Absent: Supervisor Corrigan

A. Supervisor’s Report – Pro Temp Trustee Christopher approved to conduct meeting.

B. Clerk’s Report – Birth and Death revenue reported

C. Trustee’s Report – None

D. Elected Officials Report – None

E. Staff Report – Lorenzo Webber, Director of Youth Services, gave condolences for

Trustee Clarence Thomas. Also provided information for Proviso’s Got Talent – Audition is April 5th from 9:30am – 2:00pm.

9) NEW BUSINESS

A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action.

11) ADJOURNMENT

Trustee Chase moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez, that the Board of Trustees adjourn the meeting at 5:41 pm.
