On May 18, 211 Hispanic residents of Cook County had their COVID-19 test return positive, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Since the start of the pandemic, 6,224 Hispanic residents have tested positive for COVID-19, constituting 23 percent of the positive cases in Cook County.
