The Oak Park Police Department has recently issued several updates regarding police activity and emergency response services through its official Twitter account. The department, which serves the Oak Park community and surrounding areas, provided information on accessing summaries of police activities and detailed options for contacting emergency services.

On February 9, 2026, the department posted, “The latest summary of police activity is now posted at https://t.co/pzlOWLtBoJ. https://t.co/np5PXjpuoR”.

A day later, on February 10, 2026, another update was shared: “The latest summary of police activity is now posted at https://t.co/rjWLvmO1mv. https://t.co/NXFu81Wa9N”.

Later that same day, the department informed residents about emergency communication options within the area served by the West Suburban Consolidated Dispatch Center. According to their post on February 10, 2026: “Anyone within the area served by the West Suburban Consolidated Dispatch Center, which provides emergency response services in Forest Park, Oak Park and River Forest, can text 911 from a cell phone to report an emergency. Texts should be brief and include the location and type of”.

The West Suburban Consolidated Dispatch Center handles emergency calls for multiple communities including Forest Park, Oak Park, and River Forest. Residents are encouraged to use text-to-911 when calling may not be possible or safe. Texting 911 allows users to discreetly request help by providing essential details such as their location and the nature of the emergency.

This series of updates highlights ongoing efforts by local law enforcement agencies to inform residents about public safety measures and available resources for reporting emergencies efficiently.
