The Oak Park Police Department has recently shared updates regarding police activity and community alert systems through its official Twitter account. The department posted links to recent summaries of police activity and announced a transition to a new emergency notification platform.

On January 20, 2026, the department stated, “The latest summaries of police activity are now posted at https://t.co/tsxmm9QTj9 and https://t.co/uuuQFLVd35. https://t.co/O1tYbgl7Rs”. Later that day, it informed residents about changes in the emergency alert system: “The Village is transitioning to a new alert system to notify residents when emergency situations occur. The new system, powered by Everbridge, requires community members to register for a new account to receive notifications at https://t.co/6Irdep5a1v. The registration process https://t.co/eo7DU24MGv”.

On January 21, 2026, another update was provided: “The latest summary of police activity is now posted at https://t.co/WTV98Q02MN. https://t.co/9FUiei3BaC”.

Everbridge is a widely used mass notification platform that enables local governments and organizations to send alerts during emergencies or critical events. Residents are required to create new accounts in order to continue receiving timely notifications from the Oak Park Police Department.
