Later on March 25, the department announced the addition of a new officer to its ranks. According to their tweet: “This week we welcomed a new member of the Oak Park Police Department. Officer Abdul Muhammad was sworn in this week in Council Chambers. Join us in welcoming Officer Muhammad to the community! https://t.co/O3GANhBraq”.
