Oak Park and River Forest High School seeks volunteers for Ethics Bowl event

Oak Park and River Forest High School is seeking volunteers to serve as judges and moderators for its upcoming Ethics Bowl. Organizers emphasize that no prior experience is required, only a willingness to engage with students. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact Elizabeth Nash at enash@oprfhs.org.

The high school, located in Oak Park and Cook County, serves grades 9 through 12 and had an enrollment of 3,393 students during the 2019-2020 school year according to the Illinois Report Card (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). The student body consists of 56.9 percent white students, 18.2 percent black students, 12.6 percent Hispanic students, and 3.8 percent Asian students in the same period (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).

Among the enrolled students, grade 10 represented the largest group with 26.2 percent of all students (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). Grade 9 accounted for 25.6 percent, grade 11 for 25.4 percent, and grade 12 for 25.3 percent (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).

Those interested in volunteering will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of motivated students.
