The Office of Equity and Student Success at Oak Park and River Forest High School will hold Black Professionals Day on Tuesday, February 17. The event is scheduled from 8:50 to 10:50 a.m. during the second and third periods in the school auditorium.
Organizers describe Black Professionals Day as a chance for students to connect with professionals through a panel discussion, breakout sessions, and networking activities. According to the announcement, “This is an opportunity for students to engage with professionals through a panel discussion, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities. Students will learn about life after high school and what it takes to be successful.”
Attendance requires registration by February 16. The invitation notes that “All are welcome!”
Oak Park and River Forest High School serves grades 9 through 12 in Oak Park and Cook County, with an enrollment of 3,393 students in the 2019-2020 school year, according to the Illinois Report Card (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
