Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García, representing Illinois’ 4th District, has been actively engaging with his constituents and addressing key issues through various public appearances and statements. García, who has served in the U.S. Congress since 2019, continues to advocate for the Latino community and education while opposing certain national policies.

On February 21, 2025, Congressman García expressed his support for Latino-owned businesses by collaborating with local organizations. He stated: “I stood with @ConsulMexCho and the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to educate our Latino owned businesses how to protect their workers and businesses.” García emphasized the importance of providing these businesses with necessary tools for success.

Later that day, García visited Hubbard High School to engage directly with students and families about educational challenges. He remarked: “I visited Hubbard High School to hear directly from our students and their families about the challenges they’re facing at school.” His commitment to ensuring access to essential educational resources was highlighted during this visit.

In a separate statement on February 21, 2025, Congressman García criticized former President Donald Trump and Elon Musk for their stance on social welfare programs. He declared: “Trump and Elon are targeting hardworking families by attacking Social Security, Medicare, and funding for our public schools.” Standing alongside Citizen Action Illinois, he affirmed resistance against such policy changes.
