The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has initiated a project aimed at improving the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Wolf Road. The project, which began recently, is expected to be completed by September 2025. The intersection is one of three included in the current contract, which may result in periods of inactivity as work shifts between the sites.

The project will involve several key upgrades aimed at enhancing safety and traffic flow at the intersection. According to IDOT, the improvements will include the installation of temporary traffic signals on wood poles and the addition of new traffic signal poles and signal heads. Furthermore, modifications will be made to the left turn lanes on Ogden Avenue specifically to improve safety.

It is important to note that this initiative is an IDOT project and is not being managed by the Village.
