The Illinois Tollway has announced overnight lane and ramp closures on I-294 scheduled for Friday, May 30. The closures are necessary to facilitate noisewall panel installation and other construction work.

On the northbound I-294, lane closures will occur from 55th Street to Ogden Avenue between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Additionally, the ramp from northbound I-294 to eastbound Ogden Avenue will be closed and detoured from midnight to 2 a.m. During this time, eastbound traffic on Ogden Avenue will be redirected via the loop ramps from northbound I-294 to westbound Ogden Avenue.

In the southbound direction, lane closures will take place from 47th Street to the Hinsdale Oasis between midnight and 5 a.m. The ramp providing access from southbound I-294 to the Hinsdale Oasis will also be closed from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m., restricting access during these hours.

These measures are part of ongoing efforts by the Illinois Tollway to improve infrastructure along this busy corridor.
