Ex-Fenwick star Luke Hickey appears in Benedictine’s Feb. 27 Division III baseball loss

Luke Hickey, a former Fenwick High School standout, took the mound on Friday, Feb. 27, at noon as his Benedictine Eagles team was defeated 15-4 by the Franklin Grizzlies in their NCAA Division III baseball contest.

The matchup, held at John P. McDowell Field, marked the Eagles’ first game against the Grizzlies this season.

Hickey allowed two earned runs in one inning for Benedictine, registering one walk and striking out two batters.

The Eagles are set to play their next game Saturday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. at John P. McDowell Field against the Ripon Red Hawks.
