Former Nazareth Academy player David Cox helped his college team, the Dayton Flyers, claim a 7-4 win over the Ohio Bobcats in an NCAA Division I baseball game held Saturday, Feb. 28, at 12 p.m.

Bob Wren Stadium hosted the matchup, their second contest against the Bobcats this season. The Flyers had also picked up a 7-4 win in their previous meeting on Friday, Feb. 27.

Cox recorded 1.1 innings on the mound, issuing one walk and striking out one batter.

The Flyers’ upcoming game is slated for Sunday, March 1, at 3 p.m. at Woerner Field versus the Ohio Bobcats.
