Coxon Named Academic All-American
Senior Regan Coxon from the Dominican University women’s soccer team has been named as a second-team academic All-American by the United Soccer Coaches.
Coxon was previously named as the program’s first All-American and now earns an honor as an academic All-American. She was also named as an all-conference and all-region selection.
“It is an honor to have had Regan recognized as one of the top student-athletes in the classroom nationally,” head coach Carlos Carillo said. “Regan has worked very hard both in the classroom and on the field. Regan was previously honored on the field as an all-American and now she’s being honored as a scholar All-American. Regan epitomizes what it means to be a student-athlete.”
Coxon scored 9 goals and had 6 assists. She also scored 5 goals in the final 4 matches of the season for the Stars. She is earning a degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. She had a 3.48 GPA. Coxon is one of seven selections to make the academic all-american list more than once.
