The Veterans Assistance Commission of Cook County (VACCC) has announced a new Monthly Military Sexual Trauma (MST) Benefit Brief & Claims Clinic. The initiative is aimed at providing veterans with trauma-informed education, confidential support, and help with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits and claims.

The clinic will be held at 69 W. Washington Street, Suite 1420 in Chicago, running from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on February 3, 2026. It will continue on the first Tuesday of each month through November 2026. Both in-person and virtual attendance via Microsoft Teams are available.

According to the VACCC, “This clinic offers a safe, Veteran-centered, and judgment-free space for Veterans impacted by Military Sexual Trauma. Veterans do not need to have previously reported MST in service to attend or receive assistance.”

Each monthly session will focus on different topics relevant to MST-affected veterans. These include mental health concerns, issues facing women veterans and LGBTQ+ veterans, challenges for student veterans and those experiencing homelessness or reentry, as well as claims evidence and barriers to reporting.

Veterans interested in attending can register online at https://forms.office.com/g/DAX8PP65D1. Additional information is available by calling or texting 773-520-6950 or emailing justyna.berry@cookcountyil.gov.
