Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García, representing Illinois’ 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared several updates via social media regarding his ongoing initiatives and community engagements.

On February 10, 2025, Congressman García announced a job opening for a Constituent Service Liaison. He emphasized the need for “a motivated and creative individual to help reach out to the community in the district.” Interested candidates were encouraged to learn more and apply through a provided link. ” NOW HIRING: We’re looking for a motivated and creative individual to help reach out to the community in the district as a Constituent Service Liaison! Please share with any folks who may be interested.”

The following day, on February 11, 2025, Congressman García expressed gratitude towards the Illinois Primary Health Care Association for their meeting during their annual Hill visit. The discussion focused on collaboration efforts aimed at protecting key programs such as Medicare and Medicaid. “Thank you to the Illinois Primary Health Care Association for meeting with me during your annual Hill visit to discuss how we can work together to make sure key programs like Medicare and Medicaid are protected.”

On February 12, 2025, Congressman García highlighted significant legislative progress with the Karina law. This legislation honors his constituents Karina Gonzalez and her daughter Daniela, whose lives were tragically lost due to domestic violence. He extended his gratitude towards those who contributed to strengthening gun control access through this important legislation. “The Karina law honors Karina Gonzalez and her daughter Daniela, who were my constituents. Their lives were tragically cut short due to domestic violence. I want to thank everyone for strengthening gun control access and making this important legislation a reality.”
