College fair scheduled for March at Fenwick High School

The annual College Fair for students and families of the classes of 2027 and 2028 will take place on Monday, March 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fenwick High School in Oak Park. The event is organized through a partnership between Fenwick, Oak Park and River Forest (OPRF), St. Patrick, and Trinity High Schools.

More than 140 schools and career trades are expected to participate in the fair, providing students with information about post-secondary options.

Oak Park and River Forest High School serves grades 9 to 12 in Oak Park and Cook County, with an enrollment of 3,393 students during the 2019-2020 school year according to the Illinois Report Card (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). During that year, grade 10 had the highest percentage of students at OPRF with 26.2 percent, while grade 9 accounted for 25.6 percent, grade 11 made up 25.4 percent, and grade 12 comprised 25.3 percent of the student body (Illinois Report Card). The school’s demographic breakdown was reported as 56.9 percent white students, 18.2 percent black students, 12.6 percent Hispanic students, and 3.8 percent Asian students (Illinois Report Card).

The organizers invite families to pre-register for the event and review the list of confirmed participating schools online.
