City of Northlake City Council met May 2.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT: Alderman Straube

Alderman Feldmann

Alderman Johnson

Alderman Gonzalez

Alderman Grochowski

Alderman Patti

PRESENT VIA CONFERENCE BRIDGE: Alderman Johnson

ABSENT: Alderman Contreras

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the city council meeting held on April 18 2022. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the city council meeting held on April 18, 2022; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON APRIL 18, 2022 CARRIED

Alderman Straube made a motion to approve the reappointment of Patrick Pionto to the Community Events and Affairs Commission; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

NAYS: None

MOTION TO APPROVE THE REAPPOINTMENT OF PATRICK PIONTO TO THE COMMUNITY EVENTS AND AFFAIRS COMMISSION CARRIED

Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE WARRANTS AND VOUCHERS CARRIED

Mayor Sherwin mentioned he threw out the first pitch at the Northlake Little League opening game over last weekend; May 7 is the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast; 2022 Infrastructure begins now starting with water main work.

Alderman Patti made a motion to ratify Resolution R-08-2022, originally passed at City Council meeting on April 18, 2022; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

MOTION TO RATIFY RESOLUTION R-08-2022 CARRIED

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Resolution R-09-2022; A Resolution Approving Application for Community Project Funding in the City of Northlake, IL; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

MOTION TO APPROVE RESOLUTION R-09-2022; A RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY PROJECT FUNDING IN THE CITY OF NORTHLAKE, IL CARRIED

Alderman Straube made a motion to approve Resolution R-10-2022; A Resolution Approving a Collective Bargaining Agreement Between the City of Northlake and the Metropolitan Alliance of Police Chapter 306 Police & Sergeants; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

MOTION TO APPROVE RESOLUTION R-10-2022; A RESOLUTION APPROVING A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NORTHLAKE AND THE METROPOLITAN ALLIANCE OF POLICE CHAPTER 306 POLICE & SERGEANTS CARRIED

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Ordinance O-08-2022; An Ordinance Regulating Mobile Food Vehicles and Amending Title 3 of the Northlake City Code; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.
