The Town of Cicero hosted its annual Hearts & Shamrocks Party on March 18, bringing together senior residents and community members for a festive St. Patrick’s Day–themed morning at the Cicero Community Center. The event featured breakfast, music, and social activities, filling the gymnasium with laughter and conversation as every table was occupied.

The gathering aimed to foster community spirit among Cicero’s seniors. Town President Larry Dominick attended the celebration and said, “This room being completely full says everything about the spirit of Cicero. Our senior residents helped build this community, and it is always a joy to celebrate with them. Seeing everyone smiling, enjoying breakfast, and spending time together is exactly what community is all about.”

The event was organized by the Cicero Senior Center under the direction of First Lady and Senior Center Director Diana Dominick. She welcomed attendees and thanked them for their ongoing participation in town programs. “Our goal is always to create opportunities where people can come together, feel welcomed, and have fun,” Diana Dominick said. “Events like this are special because they remind us how strong our community is when we gather and celebrate together.”

Town Trustees, former Cicero Town Assessor John Kociolko, representatives from Morton Community High School District 201 and Cicero School District 99, as well as the Chief of Staff for State Senator Javier Loera Cervantes were also present at the event.

After breakfast and conversation, participants enjoyed bingo—a highlight of the morning that brought excitement to many attendees.

The Hearts & Shamrocks Party once again demonstrated Cicero’s commitment to fostering connections among its residents through shared celebrations.
