Brookfield Village Hall and the Police Department lobby window will close at noon on Wednesday, December 31, and remain closed all day on Thursday, January 1, in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Municipal offices will reopen on Friday, January 2, at 8:30 a.m.

The Brookfield Village Hall at 8820 Brookfield Avenue serves as the main administrative center for residents to access municipal services such as public works, community administration, permitting, utility billing, and public safety operations through its police department. More information about these services can be found on the official website.

Residents with police or fire emergencies are advised to dial 9-1-1. For non-emergency matters, the police/fire non-emergency line is available at 708-485-8131. Those who need to speak with a police officer in person may visit the Brookfield Police Department lobby inside Village Hall and use the red phone to reach an officer on duty.

Groot’s refuse collection service will be delayed by one day due to the holiday.

Brookfield coordinates municipal services through departments such as Public Works, Code Enforcement, Finance, and Police to address resident needs and enforce local regulations. The government oversees services within Brookfield’s boundaries in Illinois and provides information regarding office hours and service changes through its official website.
