The Village of Brookfield announced on Apr. 30 that the Brookfield Shops at Progress Park will reopen for their second season with a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration on Friday, May 8, in the Eight Corners Business District.
The event marks the start of another year for the retail incubator program, which offers six seasonal spaces to local entrepreneurs. The program aims to help vendors gain business experience and connect with residents.
This year’s group includes businesses such as 34Designed, Down to Earth Herbal Infusions, Four Star Coffee Co., Makrame Green LLC, The Shop Salon & Style House, and The Vulgar Vegan. Visitors can enjoy live music from Paul Abella Trio starting at 11:00 a.m., followed by remarks from Village President Michael Garvey at noon. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 12:45 p.m., after which shops will be open until 5:00 p.m. Regular hours will continue through December on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
