The Brookfield Beautification Commission announced on Mar. 9 that it is accepting nominations for the 2025 Brookie Awards, which recognize businesses that have made efforts to enhance their properties. Nominations are open until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 3.

The awards aim to encourage local businesses to improve the appearance of their buildings and surroundings, contributing to the overall beautification of the community. The commission is looking for nominees who have completed visually appealing façade enhancements, improvements to building exteriors, interior restoration and improvements, or landscape and outdoor upgrades.

Business owners are invited to nominate their own establishments for consideration. The commission will review all submissions and select finalists, with up to four businesses typically recognized each year. For questions about the nomination process, residents can contact Staff Liaison Noah Rife at nrife@brookfieldil.gov.
