Village of Brookfield Village Board met July 10.

The Village Board of the Village of Brookfield was called to order on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 6:30 PM, in the Edward Barcal Hall 8820 Brookfield Avenue Brookfield, IL 60513, with the following members present:

PRESENT: Village President Michael Garvey, Village Clerk Brigid Weber, Trustee Kit Ketchmark, Trustee Edward Cote, Trustee Kathryn Kaluzny, Trustee Julie Narimatsu, and Trustee Nicole Gilhooley

EXCUSED: Trustee Jennifer Hendricks  

STAFF PRESENT: Adam Durkin, Doug Cooper, Emily Egan, James Adams, Michael Kuruvilla, Stevie Ferrari, and Tim Wiberg

b) Fire Chief Jim Adams Presentation Regarding Training Provided to Jaracaboa, Dominican Republic

Fire Chief Jim Adams provides a summary of his recent trip to Jaracaboa, Dominican Republic and what led to this trip. Donations from surrounding fire departments and vendors were included in the transportation of Fire Engine 412. Staff from the Brookfield Fire Department met with the Jaracaboa Fire Department officials and went over training for Fire Engine 412 and donated items. Staff from the Brookfield Fire Department attended a ceremony recognizing the donations from the Brookfield Fire Department. Comments are made by President Garvey and Trustee Ketchmark.

a) Alexander Stoyanoff comments on his attempt to rent out one of his properties in Brookfield.
