City of Northlake Finance and Rules Committee of the Whole met March 6

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

The committee reviewed the minutes of the February 13, 2023 meeting. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the minutes of the February 13, 2023 meeting; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The minutes were approved.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Commission Expenditures. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Commission Expenditures; seconded by Alderman Urbina. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve Resolution R-06-2023; A Resolution Supporting the Renewal of a Class 6b Real Estate Tax Assessment Application by Digital Northlake, LLC for an Industrial Facility Located at 505-520 Railroad Avenue, Northlake, Cook County, Illinois. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve Resolution R-07-2023; A Resolution Approving a License Agreement Between the City of Northlake and IRP Northlake, LLC.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Urbina. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve Resolution R-08-2023; A Resolution Authorizing the Acquisition of Property Commonly Known as 220 South Wolf Road in the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois. Alderman Grochowski made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve Ordinance O-05-2023; An Ordinance Approving a Plat Vacating an Alley Lying South of the Property Commonly Known as 31 and 39 West North Avenue in the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

All were in favor. The motion carried.

A couple of residents stepped forward to voice their opinions on the following Hen Ordinance.

Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve Ordinance O-06-2023; An Ordinance Allowing the Possession and Maintenance of Hens and Amending Title 5 of the Northlake City Code. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. 5 were in favor; 2 were not. The motion carried.

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
